Just heard yesterday that people are using the Pine Ridge Trail out of Big Sur. Of course, that is fucking up the trail - which is why one reason that it is closed. The other reason is that one of these retards is going to slip while going over a tree and fall into the canyon.
The USFS ought to plant someone up there and hand out 5000 dollar tickets. That would fund a couple of trail crew hitches.

A violation of this prohibition is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization, or imprisonment for not more than six months, or both. 16 USC 551 and 18 USC 3559, 3571, and 3581.
